This year we encourage you to participate in “UNEARTH A STORY.” Join us at the Dorcas Carey Public Library as we dig up adventure and immerse ourselves in the joy that reading brings! We will have weekly programs, games and incentives to keep you coming back all summer long. Check our website and the announcement board at the library for upcoming SRP activities and events. You can also begin to look forward to our annual Fun Day at Waterworks Park which will be held on June 9. Come visit the library, explore the world of reading, make new friends, and add some dinosaur themed fun to your days! Reading is an adventure that opens the whole world up to you! Now doesn’t that sound like fun?! The library will be CLOSED on MONDAY, MAY 25 in observance of MEMORIAL DAY. Sign Up for the Summer Reading Program Register to participate and start checking out your favorite fiction, biographies, non-fiction, and “how-to” books. Read with your children. Read for your own pleasure or to learn something new. We have so many titles and topics to choose from. We can certainly keep you busy reading long past the end of the Summer Reading Program! Yes, you can read all year long, but you can only WIN COOL PRIZES during the Summer Reading Program which runs from May 26 through July 18. Come in and sign up on May 11 or after! Early sign-ups for the DCPL Summer Reading Program begin May 11th for children & teens!
