At-Home COVID-19 Test Kits

BinaxNOW COVID-19 rapid antigen test kits provided by the Ohio Department of Health are available at DCPL at no cost to patrons. Test kits are available through curb-side pickup only. Call to schedule a pickup time.

Audiobooks

We offer a variety of fiction, nonfiction, and biography audiobooks.

Auto Renew

Eligible items can be automatically renewed for two additional weeks up to four times. Items will not be renewed if there are requests on that item, the item has reached the maximum of four renewals, the item is overdue, or the item is digital content.

Book Drop

There is a book drop located next to the west entrance. All items except electronic equipment may be returned there at any time.

Busy Bags

Too busy to browse? Keep your kids entertained with a Busy Bag! Available for a variety of ages, each bag is stuffed full of themed books, activities, and craft supplies—everything you need, ready to go. Pick up one today in the children's department!

Carey High School Yearbooks

The entire collection of Carey High School Yearbooks is available for browsing in person or through our Digital Archive.

Computers for Public Use

The library has computers in both the adult and children's departments for public use. Ask at the desk to use a computer, or call ahead to reserve a time.

Copies & Printing

We will make copies for you on 8 ½ x 11", 8 ½ x 14", or 11 x 17" paper. Black and white copies are $0.15 per page, and color copies are $0.25 cents per page.

Curbside Pickup

Call us to schedule a pickup time, and we will bring your items out to your vehicle.

DVDs & Blu-rays

Browse our collection of DVDs and Blu-rays, from new releases and classics to documentaries and exercise. Patrons must be in sixth grade or older to check out movies in the adult department and eighteen years of age to check out R-rated movies. DVDs in the children's department may be checked out to all ages. Patrons are limited to ten movies per checkout.

Digital Content – Books, Audiobooks, & Magazines

Request and download digital books, audiobooks, and magazines from the library's online catalog, or browse the digital catalog through the Ohio Digital Library's website at ohioebooks.org.

New to digital library content? Ask at the desk for your library card number and PIN. Download OverDrive or the Libby app by OverDrive for easy access to your digital content.

Earbuds

Earbuds are available upon request. The first pair is free, and subsequent pairs are $1.00 each.

Ellison Machine

An Ellison machine is available for use. The library has a variety of dies, and more can be borrowed through the library catalog. Patrons must provide their own paper.

E-Readers

E-readers can be checked out for two weeks at a time. Patrons must be 18 years old and have an Amazon account. Ask at the adult desk for more information.

Fax Service

The library provides fax service for $1.00 per page, both to send and receive.

Golden Buckeye Card

Have you received your Golden Buckeye Card? All Ohioans age 60 or older, as well as adults age 18–59 who have disabilities as defined by Social Security, are eligible for a free Golden Buckeye card. Forms are available at the circulation desk.

Heritage/Genealogy Collection

Local history, family trees, war rosters, yearbooks, and other genealogy materials are available for in-library browsing.

Homebound Delivery

Homebound delivery is available for the elderly and those with health issues. Call us to schedule a delivery time.

Hotspots

Wi-Fi hotspots are available for checkout! Great for vacations and providing Wi-Fi on the go, our hotspots can be checked out for one week at a time. Patrons must be 18 years or older to check out a hotspot. Ask at the desk for more information.

Interlibrary Loan

If we don’t have the title you need, ask about our interlibrary loan service. We can obtain books from libraries across the state of Ohio.

Lamination

Business card size lamination is $0.25 per piece, 6 x 9" is $0.75, 8 ½ x 11" is $1.00, and 11 x 17" is $1.25. Please note that it takes approximately 10 minutes for the laminator to warm up.

Large Print Books

Browse our selection of popular novels, nonfiction, and biographies in a larger, easier to read format. New titles are added regularly.

Magazines

The library subscribes to over fifty different magazines for adults, teens, and children. The current issues and all back issues may be checked out.

Meeting Rooms

There are two meeting rooms available for use by both public and private groups. There will be no charge for non-profit organizations. A donation will be required from anyone using the meeting room for profit. Reservations are required.

Music CDs

The library has a growing collection of music CDs—classical, country, pop, rock, and more. There is a limit of ten CDs per checkout.

Projector

A projector is available to check out for one week at a time. Patrons must be 18 years or older, and a refund-able deposit of $10 is required. Ask at the adult circulation desk for more information.

Talking Books

Talking Books are recorded books and magazines in audioformats provided by the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. They are available on free loan to people who are blind, visually impaired, or otherwise unable to read or use standard printed materials. Pick up a pamphlet at the library, or call for more information.

Voter Registration

Have you registered to vote or need to notify the election board of an address change? Forms are available at the circulation desk.
